This is a public school in Verulam that aims to assist children with intellectual disabilities. Children with various disabilities, such as Autism and Down’s Syndrome, are admitted to the school. The school has an enrolment of 217 learners and nearly 90% of them come from poor backgrounds. The school seeks to offer high quality education and skills development programmes, which may enable the children to become responsible members within their community.
This creche lives up to the meaning of its name, “we are coming with good things and greatness”. It was established in 2015 and it aims to keep children safe during the day and combat child abuse.
This home provides care to 84 children and adults who have intellectual and physical disabilities. The Jona Vaughn Home also provides a safe residential home and caring environment for people in Durban and surrounding areas. It does this while providing support for the families of people who have relatives at the home.

Darnall Zamani Orphans Outreach (Fortress Of Hope Church International) looks after 17 homes. The senior citizens at the homes care for 42 orphaned children in the village of Zamani in Darnall. Hollywoodbets saw that food security was a risk and donated food hampers to the organisation.
This KwaMashu-based organisation focuses on youth and social issues, such as drug abuse, unemployment and prostitution and not letting young people lose hope. The Hollywoodbets Team handed over a R85 000 cheque to the organisation as it strives to support clean-up and rebuilding efforts that would help the local community that was damaged during the civil unrest that happened in July.
Sparks Estate Cheshire Home, situated in Durban, is a registered welfare facility that provides care for 60 mentally and physically disabled residents. Established in 1979 and in existence for 40 years, the Home offers care to local communities.
This Marianhill based non-profit organisation was formed in 2008 by community members who cared for orphaned and vulnerable children. The organisation also has other programmes that include HIV/Aids awareness programmes, home-based care services and computer literacy, among the various other initiatives that they are involved in.
