#HopeIsPower – Jona Vaughan Home

Jona Vaughan Donation received

This home provides care to 84 children and adults who have intellectual and physical disabilities. The Jona Vaughn Home also provides a safe residential home and caring environment for people in Durban and surrounding areas. It does this while providing support for the families of people who have relatives at the home. As part of the #HopeIsPower campaign, Hollywoodbets identified that the home had food security as an immediate risk and provided food hampers that would support the home and people it looks after. Hollywoodbets put the Jona Vaughn Home in its database to foster and nurture a good relationship with the organisation.

"Unfortunately one of the shops where we do all our shopping was burned down. We have had to look for other places to shop. It has been distressful for all of us, but we got over it. Our residents, many of them don’t have families so we rely on the food that was brought in, so thank you to Hollywoodbets."
