#HopeIsPower – Newlands East Humane Society

Newlands East Humane Society food donation

This organisation was founded by a group of dynamic women from Newlands East, who aim to support and give back to their community. Its services include the distribution of donated items, assisting survivors with their GBV cases and conducting prevention participatory training workshops and community support programmes.

In light of the recent unrest that took place in the country, Hollywoodbets opted to donate essential hampers that contained important items, such as PPE and food products. The Team paid a friendly visit to the organisation on Wednesday, 28 July, which formed part of the #HopeIsPower campaign that aims to assist those who were affected by the upheaval.

“Wow! Hollywoodbets is God-sent! God-sent to the community. We are able to assist more families now with food hampers. There is so much of food now that we can give, not only to the families that we are reaching out to.”
