Ground Six Lighthouse Foundation was founded in April 2017 by South African starlet and philanthropist Nomzamo Mbatha. The foundation is a registered, non-profit organisation that aims to meet an ever-growing need to support marginalised youth, child-headed homes and senior citizens.

This non-profit organisation was founded in 2008 at a conference of shelters nationally and its secretariat is the Nisaa Institute for Women’s Development. It has a special place in its heart for women and children who have been victims of gender-based violence.

This organisation seeks to support a democratic, accountable and professional Taxi Industry in South Africa. It has the aim to ensure that the taxi industry is mobilised and organised around one vision. SANTACO acts as the voice of the industry and bargaining platform and it does this by coming up with relevant policies and engaging with various institutions inclusive of government.

Following the recent violent protests and looting, Hollywoodbets has chosen to donate an amount of R500 000 towards Ukhozi FM’s efforts to assist communities that were negatively affected by the unrest that gripped KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Gauteng.

It offers lifesaving interventions and development projects in seven developing countries in Africa and it constantly seeks to make a great impact on individuals who are in need. It also aims to eradicate poverty and malnutrition across Africa.

This Support Group is partnered with CANSA and it aims to support cancer patients and their families. The organisation offers services to patients, such as nutrition, patient support and free cancer screening. The organisation is primarily based in Phoenix and its goal is to offer person-centred community-based cancer support services to individuals that are free of charge.

The Qhakaza Foundation has a special place in its heart for the youth of today and it seeks to equip the youth with practical skills that will lead to empowerment. In Zulu, the word “Qhakaza” means to bloom or glitter, which ties into the organisation’s mission to raise young leaders.

The aim of the Cancer Association of South Africa is to assist those affected by cancer. It does this by offering a unique and integrated service to these individuals. The organisation enables research with regards to lowering cancer risk, educating the public regarding symptoms of cancer, screening and risk reduction and offering care and support to all individuals affected by this disease.

SG Bakery is a local and informal bakery, located in E-section in Umlazi, producing 100 to 120 loaves of bread per day. In June, Hollywoodbets reached out to assist the bakery and donated a 12-metre container with furniture, as the bakery was operating in a small, derelict shack.

Situated in Avoca Hills, this Club seeks to equip young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and also aims to discover raw and neglected talent. The Club currently consists of 76 athletes, however, majority of the members are jobless and rely on running to put food on the table.

Gemisquare Cakes are baking their way to success, one cake at time! This Amanzimtoti-based bakery has previously received support from Hollywoodbets which allowed them to expand their premises and create new branding.

Philakithi Community Service provides care to senior citizens in uMlazi’s Ward 85 and surrounding areas. The non-profit organisation’s mission is to provide community support to the elderly and strengthen relations with the community and stakeholders through promoting ubuntu and love.

Wings of Change is a non-profit organisation that is situated in Umlazi. It pays attention to an array of aspects, including social justice advocacy, environmental justice and urban and rural community transformation.
