The Hollywood Foundation Launches Bambelela Business Awards in Western Cape 2024

[Western Cape] – The Hollywood Foundation proudly announces the debut of the Bambelela Business Awards in the Western Cape region. These prestigious awards serve as a tribute to the remarkable contributions of local entrepreneurs, recognizing their profound impact on communities and their pivotal role in fostering employment opportunities.

Themed “Bambelela (Hold On) – Your Dreams Are Valid,” the Bambelela Business Awards aim to spotlight the extraordinary achievements of entrepreneurial talent across Western Cape. Going beyond mere recognition, these awards stand as a supportive pillar for local visionaries on their entrepreneurial journey, offering tangible assistance and inspiration.

To commence the celebration, the awards will launch with an Exhibition and Seminar, providing a platform for selected small businesses to showcase their outstanding work. A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate entries, identifying businesses that exhibit exceptional merit and influence. Winners will not only receive prestigious accolades but also a portion of R750,000 in funding generously provided by the Hollywood Foundation.

Application Details: Entries for the Bambelela Business Awards are officially open starting April 15, 2024. Eligible companies are strongly encouraged to submit their entries online by visiting the Hollywood Foundation’s website at https://hollywoodfoundation.co.za before the submission deadline on May 15, 2024, at 23:59.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Must be at least 51% black-owned business
  • Local business – registered and operating in Western Cape
  • Formal and/or informal registered local business
  • Business must be in operation for at least 12 months with a proven trading track record
  • Business Profile or clear description of the nature of the company/business
