Tinley Manor Primary School is situated at Velani Township, eTete, and it focuses on helping learners who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. A breakfast kitchen was donated to the school by Sembcorp Siza Water and it was used to feed children who were coming to school hungry. Due to the meals, the concentration levels of the children improved and absenteeism was reduced.

The Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust has the sole purpose to save and transform lives. The Trust was one of the first non-governmental organisations in South Africa to tackle the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The Trust primarily aims to support people who have this disease and live in semi-rural and disadvantaged communities of the Valley of 1000 Hills region in KwaZulu-Natal. Some of the services that the Trust offers include HIV prevention and education and HIV healthcare.
