The Hollywood Foundation is still in the process of changing lives through the Back to School campaign. The campaign also afforded members in the community an opportunity to select a school that they believed could benefit from the campaign. Jacqueline Motala, a community member within the Limpopo region, nominated Kopa Secondary School, and the Team from Polokwane was happy to assist.
The school was established in 1979, and teachers were excited to learn the news that they will be receiving support, as the school is comprised of poor learners. Previously, some learners used their worn-out sneakers to school, and the school would also plead with some families who still had old uniforms in good condition to donate it to families who were in need. On 16 February 2022, the Team from Polokwane paid a visit to the school to contribute much-needed school shoes for the children to use this year.
H.L Moteme, a representative for Kopa Secondary School, thanked the school for their kind contribution, and said that the “great” campaign will continue to be a boost for families who are in need.
