In July last year, up-and-coming designers from the eThekwini Municipality’s Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) programme were delighted to hear that they will be receiving assistance from the Hollywood Foundation. The assistance was in the form of funding for the designers and their small businesses, which forms part of the Enterprise and Supplier Development(ESD) Programme at the Hollywood Foundation. The Team is aware that fashion is a fast growing industry, and that investing in these businesses will afford these rising stars an opportunity to grow and succeed in the near future.

On the 17th of January 2023, the incredible Hollywood Foundation Team in Gauteng was extremely proud to visit House of Fabrosanz, which is an up-and-coming fashion house that focusses mainly on manufacturing and retail. Owned by the wonderful and hard-working Sandisiwe Mazibuko, the business, House of Fabrosanz aims to offer high-quality clothes and original designs to their very fashionable customers. Sandisiwe had opened up about the challenges that the business has had to face, including a need to employ more people to cope with an increase in demand for their clothes. The Durban Fashion Fair(DFF) and the Enterprise and Supplier Development Team from the Hollywood Foundation united to make a much-needed difference in the overall functioning of this business through a contribution of some much needed equipment. Sandisiwe explained that this contribution will surely help the business tremendously, as they will now be able to employ more workers and efficiently boost production overall. She further thanked the Hollywood Foundation for all the great support, and said, “Thank you for this assistance. It was much-needed and appreciated. May you continue to help others in need.”
