Empowering small businesses is in the DNA of the Hollywood Foundation. Through the Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) programme, the Foundation is able to offer sustainable support to SMMEs in the form of funding, grant and equipment contributions.
On 24 January 2023, the Purple Team was honoured to assist Zingisa Management (Pty) Ltd, a sports management agency. This aligns with a key focus for the ESD Team at the Hollywood Foundation, which is to empower and uplift SMMEs that are based in South Africa.
A common challenge that many businesses face is lack of funding to achieve set goals and targets. Through the ESD programme, the Hollywood Foundation contributed a R200 000 grant towards the business.
The company was established in 2016 with a strong focus on providing practical sports management, sports business, sports entertainment and related services for its clients. The company also assists in enhancing the rapid growth of its clients in the competitive global sports management market and sports business ecosystem.
Zingisa Management aims to provide first-class comprehensive sports management solutions, designed to enhance their client’s career goals, opportunities, aspirations and further maximise their client’s playing and post-playing career.
According to Odwa Ndungane, co-founder of the company, Zingisa Management represents perseverance and determination. He said that building a professional career in rugby can present any number of challenges along the way but with their help, experience and understanding of the game, players can rest assured that they are in safe hands.
He said Zingisa Management will not segment the marketplace and will cater to all sporting codes, with an immediate emphasis on rugby. Other sports that are also catered for, include football, cricket, golf, and athletics. Odwa was grateful and overjoyed to receive this support from the Enterprise and Supplier Development(ESD) Team, at the Hollywood Foundation, and said, “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the opportunities that the grant will offer. May the Hollywood Foundation continue to provide support to many more businesses that have the need to grow.”
