Based in Gauteng, BBC Hydraulic Seals and Bearings is a textile and clothing company that has been offering their services to the community. As part of the #EmpoweringHER campaign, the business was humbled to receive much-needed support last year. This aligns with a key focus for the ESD Team at the Hollywood Foundation, which is to empower and uplift SMMEs that are based in South Africa.
BBC Hydraulic Seals and Bearings is also a supplier of hydraulic components to the mining and engineering sectors. This business has opened up about the many challenges that it faced, such as finding ways to improve sales and revenue, as well as marketing their products and services to retain customers. A common challenge that many businesses face is a lack of funding to achieve set goals and targets. As such, the Hollywood Foundation Team was honoured to pay a visit to BBC Hydraulic Seals and Bearings on 12 January 2023, to hand over their share of equipment, such as a generator, a laptop and an inverter. The Team also provided funding for branding, which included car branding and the payment of a website hosting for over 5 years, as well as T-Shirts, caps and pens.
Zanele Cindi, a representative of the business, was grateful and overjoyed to receive this support from the ESD Team at the Hollywood Foundation, and said, “We would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the opportunities that the funding has, and will continue, to offer. May the Hollywood Foundation continue to provide crucial support to many more businesses that have the need to grow.”
