In the heart of Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, Celulwazi Pre School has been a beacon of care and education for the local community since its establishment in 1995. With a mission to nurture young minds while parents strive at work, Celulwazi Pre School stands as a cornerstone for early childhood development. Recognising the pivotal role of quality early experiences in shaping a child’s cognitive function, the Hollywood Foundation has embarked on a mission to weave magic into the lives of these young learners through its Magic Spaces CSI Initiative.
On 16 November 2023, the Hollywood Foundation Team visited Celulwazi Pre School, armed not only with a tangible gift but with a commitment to fostering Early Childhood Development (ECD). As part of their ongoing efforts, the Foundation presented Celulwazi Pre School with a vibrant and engaging jungle gym – a contribution aimed at creating an environment that sparks joy and promotes the holistic growth of the children.
The atmosphere at Celulwazi Pre School on that memorable day was filled with exuberant laughter and unbridled excitement as the children laid eyes on their new playground. Maria Phillias, the dedicated Manager at Celulwazi Pre School, expressed overwhelming gratitude to the Hollywood Foundation, stating, “We are so grateful to the Hollywood Foundation for this contribution. Our children will now be able to play in an appropriate and conducive environment.”
This initiative, part of the Hollywood Foundation’s broader CSI strategy, emphasises the organisation’s belief in the power of community development. By strategically placing CSI at the core of their mission, the Hollywood Foundation to spark positive change, ensuring that children in South Africa are equipped with the tools they need to thrive.
