The Hollywood Foundation is dedicated to embedding community upliftment and sustainable development into their Corporate Social Investments (CSI), creating small ripples of change that merge into significant waves throughout Southern Africa. The Restory Foundation exemplifies this transformative effect, having been touched by the wave of change initiated by the Hollywood Foundation.
Previously known as the Bhambayi Project Trust, the Restory Foundation emerged following the devastating flash floods that struck the Bhambayi Inanda community in 2007. Originating as the Bhambayi Project, it aimed to empower and uplift orphaned and vulnerable children. Through immense support, the foundation evolved into the Restory Foundation, dedicated to bridging gaps and breaking negative cycles associated with livelihoods and philanthropy.
On March 19, 2024, representatives from the Hollywood Foundation, in collaboration with the Racing Distribution Team, provided vital support to the Restory Foundation through their CSI Initiatives. This contribution will enable an additional 13 beneficiaries to access empowering skills courses, addressing the common unemployment gap and equipping youth with essential skills to positively impact society. The Restory team expressed profound gratitude for this significant contribution, resonating with elation and joy throughout the centre. Natalie Naude, Empowerment Manager of the Restory Foundation, emphasised the incredible impact of this support, stating,”We couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative of this contribution, especially recognising the broader impact it will have beyond our immediate walls.”
