Elim Care Group was formed in 1976, and its legacy is embedded in the many people that it supported throughout the years. Currently, this organisation cares for school children, and its workers assist with homework and after-school activities.
Many orphaned children remain vulnerable to poverty and sickness and also lack proper shelter which results in them ending up on the streets. To curb the scourge, Tsogang Basadi, an organisation based in Bushbuckridge, helps to cater for these orphaned children who are often found on the streets.
Senior citizens, women and children, form part of the vulnerable people of the society and they need to be taken care of. As a way of giving back to the community it serves, the Hollywood Foundation, through its various CSI projects, lent a helping hand to Matengteng Home Based Care in Bushbuckridge to help them on their mission of caring for the disadvantaged in the community
Mapula Ramodipa, the Principal at Konoto Pre-School, said that they are grateful for the generous contribution which form part of Hollywood Foundation’s CSI initiative.
Khanani Drop-In Centre was established in 2019, and it cares for orphaned children by providing them with warm meals.
Kamiesberg Resource Youth Hub was established in 2018, and it offers skills development programmes to upskill the youth within the community.
The Team from George paid a friendly visit to the organisation, to contribute much-needed office equipment to assist with classes. This formed part of the Team’s CSI projects.
In November 2022, the Team from Newton Park paid a special visit to the organisation, to contribute a fridge, a kettle and baby chairs.
The school is for learners with special needs and the iBranch Team from Gauteng was privileged to make a meaningful contribution of gardening equipment, including wheelbarrows, rakes and forks among other things to the school.
Thabiso, the Director of Malatsi Foundation, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for the generous items, and said that the workers will now be able to make a good impact within the community.
As part of a CSI project, the Team visited the creche on 8 November 2022, to contribute an array of electrical appliances, such as a fridge, a TV and a laptop.
The staff at this organisation were grateful to hear the good news, that the Hollywood Foundation will be assisting the children placed in their care, through a meaningful CSI project.
The Purple Team travelled to Somerset West in Cape Town to hand over a fridge and a freezer to the organisation as part of the various CSI projects throughout the country.
