The Team from KwaZulu-Natal was on hand to make a meaningful difference at AM Moolla Spes Nova. Based in Phoenix, this is a school for children with disabilities and it also provides learners with the option to board.
On 27 May 2022, the Team visited the school to present them with an array of second-hand items, such as a TV for the hostel for female learners, two PCs with monitors, two big desks, 10 cubicles desks for the library, book shelves, cabinets, books, and a bunk bed to be used in the hostel. As part of the #HandOfHope campaign, the Team also chose to contribute food hampers and blankets to assist learners who were negatively impacted by the floods and downpours in KwaZulu-Natal last month.
The Deputy Principal, M Lalchund, was overwhelmed with joy after receiving much-needed support and said that the desks and tables will help to assist the learners with homework, while the computers will also assist with research. He added that the food hampers will also assist learners who needed help, following the adverse weather conditions.
