Khayalethu Primary School, nestled in the heart of Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, is a shining example of a deserving institution that has received invaluable assistance and support from the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI programme. Established in 1962, this educational institution serves 636 beneficiaries and shares a deep passion for the success of its learners, aspiring to reach and assist even more children from the local community.
Khayalethu Primary School has faced its fair share of challenges, with one of the most pressing issues being the lack of sufficient toilet facilities for their students. Recognising the urgent need to address this issue, the Hollywood Foundation’s dedicated Purple Team eagerly stepped in, poised to make a meaningful impact.
On the 17 October 2023, the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI Team embarked on a heart-warming mission to Khayalethu Primary School, where they were met with smiles, laughter, and joyful banter. The occasion marked the official handover of newly constructed toilets to the school, a vital addition that promises to significantly improve the learning environment for the students.
Thokozile Nkosi, the Principal of Khayalethu Primary, expressed his appreciation saying,
“Thank you to the Hollywood Foundation for their generous contribution; we now have new toilets that will assist in improving our learners’ experience at school.”
