In November, the Hollywood Foundation embarked on a mission to impact lives through a CSI initiative at Zimeleni School in Katlehong, Gauteng. The school is for learners with special needs and the iBranch Team from Gauteng was privileged to make a meaningful contribution of gardening equipment, including wheelbarrows, rakes and forks among other things to the school.
Zimele School was established in 1983 to cater for learners who need special care. With lack of resources, the Purple Team, through its CSI initiative, saw the need to make a contribution to the school where learners have become responsible caretakers.
Maholo Bogopa, the Principal at Zimeleni School, said that they want to ensure that learners with special needs are educated and equipped with functional learning and basic life skills. The school was appreciative of the assistance and thanked the Hollywood Foundation for its generosity.
