Based in Virginia, Dieketseng Primary School has been empowering and uplifting its learners through educational activities. The school is comprised of hardworking teachers, who go above and beyond to ensure that their learners are given a quality education that will allow them to become professionals one day. The school was excited to learn the news that it will be receiving support from the Back to School campaign this year.
The school also offers a feeding scheme and sports activities for learners. The school has admitted that it has endured many challenges, such as educating needy and vulnerable learners. Some learners at the school lacked self-confidence, as they came from poor families who could not afford to purchase school supplies. On 16 February 2022, the Team from iBranch in the Free State was proud to hand over boxes of brand-new school shoes for the children to wear to school this year.
Sibongile Mofokeng, the Deputy Principal for Dieketseng Primary School, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for their “good deeds”, and added that the school shoes will help to improve the learner’s self-confidence, which will lead to better performance in their studies.
