Hollywood Foundation’s Heart-warming Contribution through their #Back2School Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Programme Brings Smiles to Chris Hani School
The Hollywood Foundation continues to empower communities all over South Africa through its CSI Initiatives. The #BacktoSchool programme is an important programme that lends a helping hand to schools and parents as they prepare learners for their academic year. Chris Hani Primary School is located in the heart of the vibrant community of Polokwane and is a beacon of hope and knowledge for its young learners. Established in 2009, this institution has dedicated itself to providing quality lifelong education to its students. However, like many schools in underprivileged areas, it faced challenges that threatened the dreams and aspirations of its learners.
One such challenge was the inability of many students to afford proper school uniforms. These uniforms not only signify belonging and pride but also play a significant role in fostering self-confidence and respect among the children. Recognising the importance of this issue, the Hollywood Foundation, driven by its commitment to meaningful CSI initiatives, decided to step in and make a difference.

The Purple Team made their way to Chris Hani Primary School to handover a much-needed contribution of new uniforms for the learners. There was excitement and anticipation in the air as students and teachers eagerly awaited the special event. As the Hollywood Foundation Team arrived at the school, the warm smiles and appreciation on the faces of the students and staff were heart-warming.
The Hollywood Foundation’s #BacktoSchool CSI programme is more than about providing uniforms but is aimed at empowering the community and uplifting the spirits of these young learners. It was a reminder that when individuals and organisations come together with a shared vision, they can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need it most.
The Hollywood Foundation’s dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility and their commitment to making a positive difference in communities like Mokopane is a shining example of how businesses can be a force for good. As the children of Chris Hani Primary School continue their educational journey, they do so with new-found confidence. M.P Talakgale, the Principal of Chris Hani School, expressed his gratitude by saying,
