Mthimkhulu acts as a day care centre for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
The centre is situated in the heart of Soweto and first opened its doors in 1999.
Thanks to the staff members’ hard work parents are freed up to earn money during the work week, while their children are cared for at the centre.
The Soweto Team visited Mthimkhulu to deliver a donation including a wardrobe, a printer, a box of paper, a two-plate gas stove, a generator, a folding table, first aid kit, mattresses, two microwave ovens, a TV and TV brackets.
Centre Manager Leah Kunene is grateful for the company’s support.
“This donation has helped me to better the service that we provide. The items we received will help in the day-to-day running of the centre, as well as when it comes to meeting compliance requirements for our licence with the Department of Health,” she said.
