The Hollywood Foundation is dedicated to empowering communities through its various CSI initiatives, with a special focus on Sports Development. Recognising the transformative power of sports, the Foundation believes that engaging young people in athletic activities can teach them valuable life skills, instil discipline, and open doors to new opportunities. By nurturing young talent, the Hollywood Foundation aims to enhance community involvement in sports and cultivate the next generation of South African sports stars.
The Raisethorpe branch Team proudly nominated the Woodlands Youth Development Foundation to receive support from the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI programme. Established in 2022, Woodlands Youth Development Foundation has quickly become a pillar in the local community, offering programmes that empower youth through sports and personal development. The handover event that took place on 24 June 2024, organised by the Hollywood Foundation and the Purple Team from Raisethorpe, was met with tremendous enthusiasm, highlighting the positive impact of CSI initiatives on community organisations. The organisation was presented with brand-new soccer kits for their Teams.
During the handover, Saziso Mofokeng, Managing Director of Woodlands Youth Development Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support received. He stated, “This contribution from the Hollywood Foundation is an investment in our youth and their futures. We are committed to nurturing these talented young individuals, and with this assistance, we can expand our programmes and reach even more aspiring athletes.” His words echoed the Foundation’s mission to empower communities and emphasise the importance of sports in personal and Social Development.
In addition to celebrating the generous contribution, the handover event also reinforced the Hollywood Foundation’s commitment to its CSI initiatives. As community members gathered in excitement, it became evident that this partnership will foster positive change and uplift the youth in South Africa, ensuring a brighter future through sports.
