The Hollywood Foundation Corporate Social Investments (CSI) embodies the spirit of compassion and empowerment, serving as a catalyst for positive change in communities across Southern Africa and beyond. The continuous humanitarian efforts aim to provide equal development opportunities to largely increase positive and sustainable community upliftment that will elevate Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) such as Carers Unite.
Since its inception in 2017, Carers Unite is an organisation born out of the vision to support individuals that “do good” by assisting those that help others in the community. The organisation has been making remarkable strides in the realm of community welfare, with a steadfast commitment to providing essential assistance and resources to those in likeminded nature.
On 14 March 2024, having displayed similarity of goals and visions, The Hollywood Foundation alongside the Cape Town mobile team through their CSI initiatives identified the transformative nature of Carers Unite’s mission. Recognising the need to increase the NPOs awareness, The Hollywood Foundation graciously handed over various branding material with the organisations ever recognisable “Why Did You Wake Up Today?” catch phrase to assist in the widespread of the Carers Unite message to positively impact and drive regular citizens to make a sustainable change towards those less fortunate to them. Nicole Roberts, Director of Carers Unite expressed with gratitude for this ever so impactful contribution. “This will finally make us visible to those that need assistance with their work, especially those lending a helping hand to senior citizens and the youth.”
Moreover, the Hollywood Foundation is not just about providing temporary relief; it’s about creating lasting change that reverberates through generations. By investing in sustainable community upliftment programmes, Carers Unite and the Hollywood Foundation are laying the groundwork for a brighter future, where every individual can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
