The elderly usually have the most experience and life lessons to offer the youth. In this day and age, their needs are often overlooked in society, and they lack the necessary support to conduct their day-to-day activities. The Hollywood Foundation has been a lifeline for the elderly across the country, through various CSI projects. Many non-profit organisations have gladly accepted assistance from the Purple Team, and their contributions have helped to spread a message of hope to senior citizens. In March, the iBranch Team from the North West rallied together to make a positive impact on an old age home, that has proven to uplift and transform communities.

Lapa La Bothle Aged Care Centre opened its doors in 2001, and the non-profit organisation is comprised of hardworking staff who regularly tend to the needs of the elderly who are based in their care. Based in Mahikeng, the organisation has been assisting elderly individuals who have had to endure living in harsh conditions, such as being neglected, abused and abandoned. The organisation has many goals to accomplish in the future, such as working towards family reunification and nursing care. There are many activities that have been put into place at the establishment, to ensure that these individuals remain fit and active. The staff at these organisations have opened up about the many challenges that they face, such as a lack of gardening equipment. In an effort to make a positive change at the centre, the Hollywood Foundation embarked on a meaningful handover, and chose to contribute an array of gardening equipment to Lapa La Bothle Aged Care Centre. The handover, which formed part of a CSI project, took place on 9 March 2023, and included items such as watering cans, wheelbarrows, and gardening forks. Tumelo Kyosienewang, the Manager of the organisation, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for the assistance, and said that the contribution will help to promote the importance of exercise at the centre.
