Henryville Primary School opened its doors to learners in 1939, and it has been empowering learners through educational activities ever since. The school was delighted to hear the good news that their learners will be receiving assistance from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign this year.
Previously, the school was functional in terms of its curriculum and classroom lessons. The school also offers the learners an opportunity to enjoy an array of other activities and programmes, including gardening skills, music lessons, sport activities and computer classes. Many of the learners at the school come from disadvantaged households, and many of their parents are unemployed. On 3 March 2022, the Team from Raisethorpe was proud to make a small difference at the school, through the contribution of school uniforms and school shoes.
Mrs Ngcobo, the Principal of Henryville Primary School, said that the contribution will help to boost the learners’ self-esteem, and it will also help to reduce absenteeism this year.
