Valdezier FC was established in 2019 and the club is comprised of three teams and 52 players. Players at the club who are aged are between the ages of 11 and 24, practice three times a week at the local community sports field. Primarily, the club was formed to help young children improve their talent, and to keep them off the streets.
The Team at the Hollywood Foundation pride themselves on helping the youth through sports and fitness. On 4 February 2022, the Team from Thohoyandou paid a friendly visit to the team to hand over much-needed soccer kits. The team admitted that receiving the new kits was one of the club’s proudest moment. The Coach for Valdezier FC, Khosa Thendo, stated that the soccer kits will help to encourage the players to play better, as previously, the club could not afford to provide its players with the proper gear.
