Hollywoodbets hands over essential equipment to Progress Rugby Club

Progress Rugby Club was established in 1992 and it was developed to combine the strength of a number of clubs in the disadvantaged northern areas of Uitenhage. The club consists of almost 200 players who are mostly unemployed. There are three senior teams, two junior teams and a netball team. The club has the goal to provide its players with an opportunity to play rugby professionally. Currently, Progress Rugby Club is the EPRU Grand Challenge Champions and the Eastern Cape Super 14 Champions.

On 27 October 2021, Hollywoodbets was proud to hand over essential rugby items to the club. These items included rugby jerseys, rugby shorts, socks, tackle bags, contact shields, cones, agility hurdles and rugby balls.

“This contribution will help our underprivileged and disadvantaged players. It will improve player performances so that they may be given the opportunity to play professionally. The rugby players will also have kits and boots to play rugby.”
