#HopeIsPower – Phantane Athletics Club receives food parcels

Situated in Avoca Hills, this Club seeks to equip young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and also aims to discover raw and neglected talent. The Club currently consists of 76 athletes, however, majority of the members are jobless and rely on running to put food on the table.

Phantane Athletics Club visited the Team from Hollywoodbets on Thursday, 29 July at HUTS to receive food hampers, which Hollywoodbets kindly opted to donate to the organisation. The hampers, which comprised of essential products, formed part of the #HopeIsPower campaign that has a goal to assist organisations in these uncertain times, and following the recent riots and looting.

“The food will assist the organisation for the next two to three months. By then, we will be able to stand on our feet.”
