#HopeIsPower – Ntenga Foundation

Ntenga Foundation Hollywood bets donation

The Ntenga Foundation makes use of charity events to raise money for people in need. A recent effort included providing school shoes for children across Africa. This youth-led non-profit organisation has sought to help many organisations that fell victim to the recent violent protests and unrest that took place in KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Gauteng.

As part of the #HopeIsPower campaign, Hollywoodbets kindly donated an amount of R100 000 to the organisation to further assist those in need. The organisation opted to donate R20 000 of that money to the Umlazi Medical Centre. The money will be used to purchase medical equipment, including 20 boxes of dialyzers, a box of drips, bloodlines, acid and bicarbonate. The Team from Hollywoodbets paid a visit to the Centre on Monday, 26 July.

“We asked for help from Mr Siyanda Ntenga when our offices were looted a few weeks ago. We suffered losses worth about R200 000 during the unrest. This forced us to send some of our patients to other areas in Durban and we even sent some as far as Scottburgh. The donation by Hollywoodbets has left me speechless. I don’t know what to say. I am very grateful for what they did. Thank you is not enough.”

He said the donation has helped them to get back on their feet again.
