The Hollywood Foundation was thrilled to make a positive change at Thiboloha School for the Deaf and Blind, a special school that was established in 1974. Using the Back to School campaign, the Foundation was able to make a small but meaningful difference in the lives of these learners.
The school was very happy to hear the news that the campaign will be touching the lives of needy learners. Previously, the school was functioning fairly, despite the challenges of teaching learners with special needs, who also came from very poor backgrounds. The teachers at the school go above and beyond to ensure that these learners grow and develop, with the addition of private services like baking and cooking. In March this year, the Team from Phuthaditjhaba was happy to visit the school to contribute brand-new boxes of school shoes for the learners to wear.
NS Nkhabu, a representative for Thiboloha School for the Deaf and Blind, was delighted after receiving the contribution from the Hollywood Foundation, and added that it will greatly assist the vulnerable learners at the school.
