Based in KwaNdengezi, Kwamanzini Primary has been empowering the lives of its learners since 1982. The Training Department chose the school to receive assistance and support through the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign this year. The school has been vocal about its challenges, and the campaign aimed to offer a lifeline to parents, teachers and learners in 2022 through the contribution of school shoes.
The school was happy after hearing the news that learners will be receiving brand-new boxes of school shoes to use in the new schooling year. Learners usually attended school lessons without wearing the full school uniform, due to their parents being unemployed. On 28 January 2022, the Team from HUTS travelled to the school to put smiles on faces as they delivered the new school shoes.
R.N Gumede, the Acting Principal for Kwamanzini Primary, thanked the Team for their kind assistance and said that the school shoes will now help vulnerable learners as they gear up for the new academic year.
