Early detection of breast cancer has over the years helped save the lives of a lot of women. This is a result of the continuous Breast Cancer Awareness by passionate organisations, who use their CSI projects to advocate for improved healthcare.

On Sunday, 16 October 2022, the Hollywood Foundation, as part of their CSI initiative, sponsored the PinkDrive’s Race Meeting at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse, to raise funds for the organisation to continue in the course for better health for women fighting breast cancer.

The horse racing event, with races sponsored by organisations galloping to raise funds for the wonderful initiative, kept the punters and attendees on their feet as they cheered on their favourite horses. The Racecourse was painted pink, with attendees draped in pink clothing in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The Hollywood Foundation surprised the PinkDrive Team with a R50 000 cheque as a contribution to the organisation, that will enable them to assist more communities.

“Our contribution to the PinkDrive is our way of showing support to the organisation that has been doing sterling work in the community by creating awareness for breast cancer and helping victims and cancer survivors. We are proud to work alongside the PinkDrive and we hope that this will make a meaningful impact on people who seek refuge at this organisation, now and in the future.”
