Hollywoodbets Burgersfort chose to support Moonlight City FC as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

The club accommodates two teams in four weekly practise sessions. They are home to 33 players and was started in 2006 to give the local community the opportunity to show off their talents and skills, as well as allowing them to reach their soccer goals. The club’s proudest moment was when they won their local soccer tournament that various communities also take part in.
The Hollywoodbets Burgersfort Team saw the struggles that Moonlight City face on a daily basis due to being part of a rural community. A few club members are also orphaned and unable to afford all the necessary equipment. For this reason, the Hollywoodbets Team made a donation of a full soccer kit to the club.
Golden Mogale, Coach of the team, believes that this donation will boost the spirits of the club members.
“We have never had our own kits before and other soccer teams wouldn’t take us seriously. This used to impact the players’ performance, but now that they have their own Hollywoodbets kits, it will boost their confidence as they will be recognised by other clubs now,” he said.
