Freedom FC was established in 2009 and it is comprised of three teams. In total, there are 24 players at the club, who practice three times a week at Musina Sports rounds. The club was formed to help young men who had a passion for football. Currently, it helps to improve their skills through training. The club’s proudest moments were winning a soccer tournament in 2018 and receiving news that players will be receiving new soccer kits from the Hollywood Foundation.
The Hollywood Foundation is currently on a mission to change developing sports teams through the contribution of new soccer gear for players to use. The Team from Musina travelled to visit the club on 11 February 2022 to hand over the new soccer kits. Lumbe Sweetman, the Manager for Freedom FC, explained that the new soccer kits will have a positive impact on the players, as they frequently had to borrow kits from other teams when competing in games.
