#HopeIsPower – Wings of change receives hampers from Hollywoodbets

Wings of change donation from Hollywoodbets

Wings of Change is a non-profit organisation that is situated in Umlazi. It pays attention to an array of aspects, including social justice advocacy, environmental justice and urban and rural community transformation.

This organisation felt the brunt of the looting and riots, and food security was found to be an immediate risk to them. Hollywoodbets stepped up to the plate and opted to donate food hampers to Wings of Change. The hampers contained items such as cleaning detergents and PPE which were donated as part of the #HopeisPower initiative.

Pretty Gumede, a representative for Wings of Change, stated that the recent riots and looting affected her community as families were left without food. She also thanked Hollywoodbets for the hampers and added that she has already profiled Umlazi families that are in need.
