The hospice takes care of people in their community that live with life-limiting illnesses including HIV, TB and cancer.
They see patients at the hospice but also provide outpatient care within the area. Their goal is to make their patients comfortable and to ensure that they experience peace and dignity in their final days.
They first opened their doors in 1991.
The Hollywoodbets Chatsworth Team chose to support hospice’s great work by donating five blood pressure machines, five nebulisers, two CD players, ten blankets, fitted sheets and pillow cases as well as three first aid kits.
Star Merchant decided to join forces with the branch by donating some much-needed second hand stock items to the organisation including three LED monitors, 21 café chairs and ten waste paper bins.
Hospice manager Mr Paul Naidu was thrilled to receive all of these essential items from Hollywoodbets and Star Merchant.
“Hollywoodbets supported us beyond our expectations with the quality of the items they donated to us. These items will make our patients more comfortable because our medical administration will now be faster. The computers and dustbins will be used by our administrators in the wards while the chars will be used for our patients and visitors. With more nebulisers and BP machines patients will not have to wait as long for their turn. The CD players will create a tranquil atmosphere with soft music that the patients love, while the brand-new bedsheets and blankets will really keep our patients comfortable while they are resting,” he said.
