Gugulesizwe High School is based in Ethafeni and has been providing educational services to learners since 1978. The school was very happy and appreciative to hear the news that the community chose the school to receive assistance from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign in 2022.
Previously, the school was struggling financially, as parents could not afford to pay school fees. Teachers go the extra mile on a daily basis to ensure that the learners are given skills to equip them in the future. The school also offers the learner’s sporting activities and music lessons. The Team from HUTS was all smiles as they travelled to the school on 27 January 2022 to hand over stationery items, school uniforms and school shoes for learners to use this year.
P.M Guline, a representative for Gugulesizwe High School, thanked the Team for the much-needed contribution, and added that it will be used to uplift the community.
