The Hollywood Foundation has been embarking on CSI projects across various branches in the country. The Team has a special place in its heart for children and affording them a conducive environment to play and learn. Early childhood development is a core focus for the Purple Family, and it was such a joy for the Team in Empangeni to make a meaningful contribution in November.
uMhlathuze Creche is situated at Dumisani Makhaye Village, and it opened its doors to care for children in 2003. The creche was formed after witnessing a need to assist parents, who did not have a safe space to leave their children while they were at work. Apart from educational activities, the staff work hard to ensure that the children receive a hot meal, for breakfast and lunch. As part of a CSI project, the Team visited the creche on 8 November 2022, to contribute an array of electrical appliances, such as a fridge, a TV and a laptop. These items aim to assist with day-to-day activities, as well as promote further learning for the children.
