Tsunami Queens, a team that forms part of the Hollywoodbets Super League, participated in the Women’s Month initiative, where they scored goals to help a non-profit organisation that serves the needs of various communities. The club consists of a senior structure and players are between the ages of 17 to 38 years.
Tsunami Queens, which was developed to groom young girls to play soccer at a professional level, scored one goal during the campaign and the Club chose to donate an amount of R6 000 to Poloko Educare Centre, which is based in QwaQwa. The organisation seeks to uplift individuals within the community and the contribution from Tsunami Queens will be used to purchase much-needed equipment for beneficiaries within the organisation, such as toys and food items for children. The contribution will also allow the Centre to run more smoothly and effectively.
