In the heart of Grassy Park, Western Cape, the Lea Rose Foundation, established in 2021, stands as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged in the community. Committed to community upliftment through their feeding and empowerment programmes, the Foundation addresses the needs of children at risk who have fallen out of the formal educational system. The Lea Rose Foundation emphasises their engagement in entertainment and personal growth for youth development in sport through strategic partnerships with other Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs). Referrals for counselling services, substance abuse support, and various other assistance programmes are also part of their comprehensive approach.
The Lea Rose Foundation’s overarching mission aligns with the principles of the South African Constitution, focusing on holistic upliftment and empowerment programmes for the most vulnerable, including widows, orphans, homeless individuals, and youth. The organisation is a resource for life skills training, financial stewardship, and recycling programmes, providing invaluable support to the community.
The Hollywood Foundation eagerly extended a helping hand to the Lea Rose Foundation through a recent CSI initiative. On 13 December 2023, the Purple Team visited the organisation to deliver a generous contribution of brand-new cookware for the feeding programme. This act of kindness was a representation and celebration of shared values and a commitment to community well-being. The Hollywood Foundation’s involvement underscores the significance of collective efforts in creating positive change.
Rosalind Pathor, Chairperson at Lea Rose Foundation, expressed deep gratitude for the Hollywood Foundation’s contribution, stating, “Thank you, Hollywood Foundation, thank you for making the day possible! We are overjoyed by the support and contributions allowing us to continue our homely cooked food and invest time and effort to make the feedings possible.”
