The Hollywood Foundation’s dedication to fostering Community Sports Development is once again evident through its CSI initiatives, particularly showcased by its recent support for Black Shadows Club. The KwaDukuza branch Team played a pivotal role in this initiative by nominating Black Shadows Club for a crucial enhancement to their operations. Established with the aim of developing young soccer talent, Black Shadows Club has been instrumental in offering valuable opportunities for aspiring athletes.
On 19 June 2024, the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI Department took a significant step forward with a special handover event at the Club. The day was filled with excitement as the Hollywood Foundation Team, alongside the Purple Team from KwaDukuza branch, presented Black Shadows Club with a generous contribution of new soccer kits. This contribution is more than just a provision of equipment; it symbolises the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to supporting and uplifting local sports communities and ensuring that clubs like Black Shadows Club can continue their vital work.
Coach Nkululeko F. Luthuli of Black Shadows Club expressed his profound gratitude for the support. “We are truly honoured and thankful for the Hollywood Foundation’s generous contribution,” Luthuli said. “These new soccer kits are a significant boost for our players and a powerful reminder of the importance of community support. The Foundation’s commitment to local sports development inspires us to keep striving for excellence and to continue providing our young athletes with the best opportunities possible.”
