Hollywoodbets iBranch chose to support Ukukhanya Kwesizwe Community Development as part of Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2018/2019. Read on to learn more about the team’s donation.

The community development centre was started in 2015 and works with primary schools to help students from disadvantaged areas including Ntuzuma, Kwamashu and Inanda.
The iBranch Team heard about the centre’s good work through their relationship with one of their TUV distributors – SPAR.
The Team chose to support the great work the centre staff are doing with the youth in the community by donating 20 pairs of school shoes to them.
Centre representative Joyce Gugu Msomi was grateful for the help.
“Absenteeism was high as the children did not have schools’ shoes, and they were very prone to getting sick.”
“Following the donation from Hollywoodbets, this has greatly assisted in decreasing the rate of absenteeism in the school.”
“The parents were so grateful, and happy for this thoughtful donation.” she said.
