Hollywoodbets Mashishing chose to support Ubuntu Youth Development Centre as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2020/21.

Ubuntu Youth Development Centre
This organisation was established in 2017 with the objective to combat crime in the community. They do this through creating and running projects that are aimed at encouraging young people to get involved in sports through participation. Their main focus sports are soccer and netball. The centre organises and hosts soccer games and tournaments every weekend and on respective holidays. One of their greatest achievements is being the home of a soccer team that was developed by the Ubuntu Youth Centre.
Hollywoodbets Mashishing Team Members visited the centre to deliver four sets of soccer boots, two soccer kits, four soccer balls, one netball kit, one netball ball, three whistles, 10 soccer bibs, and 10 cones.
The deputy chairperson of the centre, Fumbani Phiri, is thankful for Hollywoodbets’ generous support.
“The donation will enable the soccer team to function during training sessions and when conducting soccer games, as well as when engaging the youth that we are targeting. It will also help the centre recruit more young people to be involved in the project”, he said.
