As part of the #EmpoweringHER Women in Business Awards, the Hollywood Foundation was honoured to support women-owned businesses and afford them a platform to shine. Simpre Properties, which focusses on real estate, was one of many businesses that received funding during Women’s Month this year. It was an honour for the ESD Team to pay a special visit to them in November, to hand over their share of equipment.
Simpre Properties is based in Old Main Road in KwaZulu-Natal, and it is owned by Simphiwe Mhlongo. The business prides itself on its ability to assist clients to buy, sell and rent properties. Simphiwe has opened up about the struggles that the business has faced, including a lack of visibility to attract more customers. Through ESD support, the Team was proud to contribute branding and marketing material, on 10 November 2022.
Simphiwe was overjoyed to receive this much-needed support, and said that sales at Simpre Properties have already doubled. Simphiwe mentioned that she hopes to open up more businesses in various provinces, including the townships, to empower clients and agents through real estate.
