The Hollywood Foundation has been making a positive impact in the lives of many people, who seek refuge at various non-profit organisations across the country. Through various CSI projects, the Purple Team have touched the hearts of many people, including the elderly and vulnerable women and children.
Dzulane Place of Safety Care Centre is based in Vosloorus, and it was established in 2012. This organisation places the needs of orphaned children as a priority. Nelly, the Founder of this organisation, had a vision to create an environment where children feel safe and protected, after her own son went missing. She works hand-in-hand with the community, to identify and assist vulnerable children and offer them necessary care and support. Previously, the organisation was struggling to meet their laundry needs. On 02 December 2022, the Team from Alberton paid a visit to the organisation as part of a CSI project, to contribute a fridge, a washing machine, a stove, tables and chairs.
Nelly thanked the Hollywood Foundation for the much-needed support and said that the items will make a positive impact on the many children who seek refuge at the centre.
