This New Brighton-based organisation was founded in 2016 with the main goal of helping children who suffer from serve and profound learning disabilities by providing them with multiple sensory therapies. The centre is an NPO and therefore relies on donations from the public to ensure that their high level of care provided is kept up to standard.
The Hollywoodbets Team from Newton Park established a relationship with the centre in 2018 because of the selfless work that they do with the little resources that they have available to them. The Team chose to support the growth of the centre so that they would be able to care for more vulnerable children. The Team donated a box of toys, a hammock and two corner chairs.
Thuli Tsotsobe, Centre Manager, believes that this donation will contribute to the growth of their centre.
“The hammock that we received will be used in our sensory improvement programmes, especially for those that suffer with cerebral palsy and autism as it affects their balance. The new toys will also mean that there are new things for the children to play with,” she explained.
