“I am studying towards an Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing at the Durban University of Technology (DUT)”.
Why did you choose this particular field of study?
“I have always wanted to be involved with anything that has to do with law and calculations, which is why I choose this field.”
What year of study are you currently enrolled in?
“I am in my final year.”
How did you hear about the bursary programme?
“I found out about it on Twitter and I thought why not give it a chance.”
Can you briefly tell us how the bursary programme has made a difference in your life?
“It has helped me in a way that I don’t have to worry about where the money for my studies will come from. It has given me the financial freedom I need.”
Why would you recommend the bursary programme to other students?
“Because it is not like any other bursary programme where they pay in instalments and at the end of your course you find that you cannot get your qualification because, you haven’t paid in full. It pays a full amount from the beginning and all you have to worry about is making sure that you pass your studies.”
Is there anything else that you would like to say to the Hollywood Foundation?
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the Hollywood Foundation for what they are doing for the people in need. May they continue to give people a chance to better their lives through education.”
