Children of Ntshalleng Le Bana Care Centre receive food thanks to Hollywoodbets and Lighthouse Foundation’s Brighter Future Project

The main goal of this care centre, based in Rustenburg, is to provide a home for children living with disabilities. They supply high quality care to these young people and ensure that all  their beneficiaries receive nutritious meals each day. The centre relies heavily on the support of the public, and just like many other charitable organisations, they have fallen on hard times due to the current crisis the country is experiencing. This is where local gambling giant Hollywoodbets stepped in, making a R12 500 donation to Ntshalleng Le Bana. Thanks to this show of support the centre can continue providing meals to their 54 beneficiaries as well as to buy other much-needed supplies including toiletries, blankets and hand sanitisers.
This donation comes after the company’s recent announcement that they would be injecting R1 million into supporting to 60 NPOs and NGOs across all nine South African provinces as part of their “Brighter Future” project. This project is a collaboration between the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme and Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation.
The company felt deeply moved by the organisation’s plight which is why they chose to get involved and assist.

“Ntshalleng La Bana takes in disabled children from the Rustenburg community and provides them with shelter and food. This is a massive responsibility that they have taken on and that is a true inspiration to all of us which made this donation so easy to make,” explained Skele Ntlatseng, Free State Area Manager for Hollywoodbets.

This will be the second time that the company have been able to give their assistance to the organisation. “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Hollywoodbets. Your generous donation for the children, during this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic, is highly appreciated. It will go a long way in assisting the centre to provide high quality care to the children living with disability in terms of nutrition, sanitation and the improvement of our living conditions for the children at the centre,” said Emily Mofokeng, Project Manager of Ntshalleng La Bana.
