The Haven Night Shelter Claremont in Wynberg, Western Cape, has been serving meals to the homeless in the area for over 20 years. For people living on the streets, being served warm meals every day gives them a sense of belonging and makes them feel like they are a part of the society.
This organisation was established in 1990 with the aim of helping people living on the streets. To help them continue with their sterling work in the community, in August, the Team from Wynberg visited the shelter to spread some love with a contribution that included party chairs, stew pans, metal shelves and cutlery.
According to Sheila Jacobs, the Manager at this organisation, this contribution by the Purple Team will help the organisation to serve their clients with more dignity and add value to their livelihoods.
