Dikgageng Primary School was established in 1968 and it is based in Ga-Maepa. Teachers and learners at the school felt extra special after hearing that the school will be receiving assistance from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign this year. The school was chosen to receive assistance by Segapane Tjabadi, a community member.
The school is comprised of learners who come from households where parents may find it difficult to purchase staple school requirements. The Back to School campaign acts as a lifeline, and even offers the community a chance to nominate schools that they think could benefit from this support. On 15 February 2022, the Team from Polokwane visited the school to hand over boxes of brand-new school shoes for the learners to wear this year.
N.F Mohlala, a representative for Dikgageng Primary School, thanked the Team for the kind contribution, and added that it will assist many of the learners by ensuring that they all look the same during school hours.
