Chatsworth Sporting Club
Chatsworth Sporting has been coaching cricketers since 2002. Their ultimate goal is to help reduce the crime rate in Chatsworth by involving the community in a healthy and productive pursuit that will result in the development of top quality sportsmen.
They also believe in harnessing their community members’ strengths when it comes to both playing and administration skills. Teams practise three times a week at the Chatsworth Cricket Oval. The club is 208 players strong.
This is the second time that Hollywoodbets has decided to support Chatsworth Sporting. This particular club was chosen because they are community-based and they promote the sport of cricket in a previously disadvantaged area.
They run many successful programmes and have a proven track record in Chatsworth and the surrounding areas. Hollywoodbets sponsored playing kits for the senior and women’s teams, while also donating a portion towards coaching fees.
Jason Sathiaseelan, President of the club, was grateful for this donation and thinks it will help the club move forward with less financial strain.
“In these tough economic times, it is difficult to sustain programmes without financial business support. This injection from Hollywoodbets has certainly assisted in giving our club a better identity and has allowed us to pay our coaches so that we can produce quality cricketers,” he said.
