Hollywood Foundation Opens Applications for the 2026 Western Cape Bambelela Business Awards
Following the successful rollout of the Bambelela Business Awards in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Gauteng, with the Eastern Cape programme set to take place in mid-August, the Hollywood Foundation is now calling on Western Cape entrepreneurs to enter the 2026 Western Cape Bambelela Business Awards.
Applications are open from 1 August to 31 August 2026, giving qualifying Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) the opportunity to compete for a share of over R1 million in business funding while showcasing the impact their businesses have on their communities.
Meaning “hold on”, Bambelela reflects the determination, resilience and ambition of entrepreneurs who continue to grow their businesses, seize new opportunities and make a lasting impact in their communities. More than an awards programme, the initiative celebrates and empowers entrepreneurs by providing funding, business development opportunities and a platform to scale innovative businesses that are creating jobs and driving economic growth across the Western Cape.
Shortlisted businesses will participate in a two-day programme comprising an exhibition, seminar and business pitches before an independent panel of judges, with winners sharing in over R1 million in funding.
Qualifying entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply online via the Hollywood Foundation website before 31 August 2026 at 23:59.
